Energiegemeinschaft – Austrian Energy Platform

Challenge

Since 2021, energy communities can be formed in Austria to trade self-produced electricity within the community. This requires a reliable management and billing platform that captures meter data, manages members, and creates accurate invoices. Additionally, community members need insight into their own energy consumption and production – ideally on mobile, as two-thirds of users access the platform via smartphones.

Results

The platform enables energy communities to efficiently manage and bill their self-produced electricity – from single-family homes to cooperatives. The mobile-friendly PWA is live at app.energiegemeinschaft.info, actively used and in continuous development.
